Capture stays local-first on the attorney device by default. When you use AI features such as draft generation, relevant activity is sent for AI processing. Only the entries you approve are released to Clio, through your firm’s own login, with Zero Data Retention, no model training, and nothing synced without your click.

How does LegalTime connect to Clio?
Through your firm’s existing Clio login. There is no server to stand up and no IT project. Connecting takes about ten minutes per attorney.
How do entries show up in Clio?
As ordinary time entries in Clio Manage, with the matter, billing code, narrative, and duration already attached, ready to bill like anything you entered by hand.
Will it create duplicate entries in Clio?
No. Nothing syncs to Clio without your explicit release, so your review is always the gate. What you approve is what arrives.
Can I edit an entry after it reaches Clio?
Yes. Once released it is a normal Clio time entry, so you can edit, reassign, or delete it exactly like one you typed by hand.
Does my whole firm need to switch anything?
No. Attorneys keep working the way they already do in Clio. LegalTime just removes the end-of-day reconstruction by drafting the entries for them.
What about client confidentiality?
Capture stays local-first on the attorney device by default. When you use AI features such as draft generation (Create), relevant activity is sent for AI processing. Only the finished entries you release travel to Clio, encrypted in transit. See the security page for the full picture.
