Automatic time tracking for Clio.

AI that writes your billable entries while you work and releases them straight into Clio Manage.

How it works

Works inside the Clio Manage you already run.

01

It captures the work

LegalTime watches the documents, emails, calls, and research you already do on each matter. No timer to start, nothing to remember.

02

It drafts every entry

Each task becomes a time entry with the matter, billing code, narrative, and duration already filled in, ready for a quick review.

03

You release into Clio

Approve an entry and it lands in Clio Manage as an ordinary time entry, through your firm’s existing Clio login. Edit it there like anything you typed yourself.

Released entries appear in Clio Manage with the matter and billing code already attached.

Security

Built for privileged work.

Raw activity is read locally and never leaves the machine. Only the entries you approve are released to Clio, through your firm’s own login — with Zero Data Retention, no model training, and nothing synced without your click.

Clio questions, answered.

How does LegalTime connect to Clio?
Through your firm’s existing Clio login. There is no server to stand up and no IT project — connecting takes about ten minutes per attorney.
Which Clio product do you support?
Clio Manage. Released entries arrive as ordinary time entries with the matter, billing code, narrative, and duration already attached.
Will it create duplicate entries in Clio?
No. Nothing syncs to Clio without your explicit release, so your review is always the gate. What you approve is what arrives.
Can I edit an entry after it reaches Clio?
Yes. Once released it is a normal Clio time entry, so you can edit, reassign, or delete it exactly like one you typed by hand.
Is LegalTime an approved Clio integration?
LegalTime is built as a Clio Trusted Platform Developer and uses Clio’s official connection, so your data moves through approved, supported channels.
What about client confidentiality?
Raw activity is read and stored locally and never leaves the machine. Only the finished entries you release travel to Clio, encrypted in transit. See the security page for the full picture.
