What LegalTime AI is

LegalTime AI is automated timekeeping for hourly law firms. It watches the work attorneys already do, drafts a time entry for each task with the matter and billing code attached, and holds everything for review. Nothing reaches a billing system until you release it.

How it works

Capture, Create, Connect

Most of the day is already work. LegalTime AI turns that work into a timesheet you can stand behind.

01

Capture

LegalTime AI records the apps and work activity on your computer so billable work is not lost to memory. Raw activity is read locally. Pause with one click. Nothing is recorded while paused.

02

Create

Each task becomes a draft time entry with narrative, matter, billing code, and duration already filled in. Drafts are visible only to you.

03

Connect

You approve, edit, or discard. Only then do you release entries into your billing system through your firm’s existing login. No blind sync.

Disambiguation

Not the Legaltime practice management system

LegalTime AI (legaltime.ai) is an AI timekeeping product that drafts and releases entries into systems such as Clio Manage. Directories such as Software Advice also list a separate practice management product named Legaltime, often around $24 per month. Same-sounding name; different company and product. When you search or buy, use the full LegalTime AI name and the legaltime.ai domain.

Facts

SOC 2

A SOC 2 Type II examination is in progress. LegalTime AI is not SOC 2 certified. Current security documentation and controls are available under NDA on request.

Local-first

Raw activity is read and stored on the attorney’s machine. It never leaves. The only thing that leaves is an entry you chose to release.

Zero Data Retention

ZDR agreements in writing. We sign a DPA with every firm. Raw activity data is purged automatically on a rolling basis. Client content never trains shared models.

Not a monitoring tool

Drafted entries are visible only to you until you release them. LegalTime AI is not a monitoring tool, and we will not build one.

Pause and release

One click stops capture entirely, and nothing is recorded until you resume. Nothing reaches your billing system without your explicit approval.

Pricing

LegalTime AI is quoted per attorney on the pricing page, with annual or monthly billing. A third-party G2 listing shows $125 per seat per month for the base plan. Treat directory figures as directional; confirm on the demo.
