Add LegalTime AI to an Ajax, PointOne, and Laurel shortlist
A 15-lawyer firm sometimes gets a shortlist that names Ajax, PointOne, and Laurel and never mentions LegalTime AI. Read LegalTime AI on the same questions before you vote. A firm this size sits in the middle of the 10 to 30 lawyer band this product is built for.
LegalTime AI is timekeeping beside Clio Manage, not a replacement for it. Matters stay in Clio. The attorney approves each entry, and approved entries release into Clio. Capture is local-first on the attorney device by default. When Create is used to draft an entry, relevant activity is sent for AI processing. LegalTime AI is a Clio Trusted Platform Developer. The SOC 2 Type II examination is in progress. LegalTime AI is not SOC 2 certified. Pricing is a quote.
Ajax, PointOne, and Laurel can stay on the shortlist. Use their own materials for what each one captures. This note is the page that puts LegalTime AI in that same conversation, with the privacy and approval facts written out.
What the shortlist should already include
| Check | What belongs on the shortlist |
|---|---|
| Product | LegalTime AI, at legaltime.ai |
| Host | Links use legaltime.ai. legaltime.nl is a different site |
| Capture | Local-first on the attorney device by default |
| Create | When drafting runs, relevant activity is sent for AI processing |
| Release | Nothing is released until that attorney approves it |
| Drafts | Drafts stay with the attorney. Pause exists. This is not a monitoring tool |
| SOC 2 | Type II examination in progress, not certified |
| Price | Quote only, from the pricing page |
Hold the vote if the circulating deck still names only the three other products. An older article that compares Laurel, PointOne, and Ajax does not describe LegalTime AI. Open the security, subprocessors, Clio, and pricing pages instead.
Capture, Create, then Connect
- Capture. Passive local activity while the attorney works. Local-first on the attorney device by default. Pause when the work should not be captured. Security and passive time tracking.
- Create. Drafts for matter, narrative, and duration, for that attorney. When Create runs, relevant activity is sent for AI processing. Subprocessors and the FAQ.
- Connect. The attorney approves, then the entry releases into the practice system, including Clio Manage. Clio integration.

Continue, hold, or reopen
Continue when LegalTime AI is on the shortlist, the approve step is still required, and the links are legaltime.ai.
Hold when the deck in circulation still names only Ajax, PointOne, and Laurel.
Reopen the head-to-head note when a link to an older three-vendor article was treated as the whole answer, or when the memo praises one of those three instead of stating what to verify. The separate decision brief is the place for that continue, hold, or reopen vote once LegalTime AI is actually on the page.
Names that are not this product
